T1 – Mine Operations Tour - Silver Lake Resources Daisy Milano & Paddington Gold – Navajo Chief Open Pit

Monday 16 August 2010. 7.30 am – 5.00 pm.

Daisy Milano Underground Mine

The Mount Monger goldfield is located 50 km southeast of Kalgoorlie and is situated within the Kalgoorlie terrane subdivision of the Eastern Goldfields Province. Gold mining began in the Mount Monger area during the early 1900s. The field is marked by a series of historic workings extending northward under recent shallow alluvial cover towards a significant drainage channel. Only sub-cropping mineralisation appears to have been exploited by early miners, with historic workings in the field typically extending to depths of no greater than 80 metres below the surface. Production records indicate that the field has produced in excess of 400,000 oz of gold.

Daisy Milano Underground Mine commenced production in December 2007. Mine production is - ~60,000 oz Au pa. The mine generated $10.7 million after tax profit in first full year of operation. Resource:197,800 tonnes @ 40.5 g/t Au for 257,400 oz.

Navajo Chief Open Pit

Paddington Gold Mines (Norton Gold Fields LTD)) owns and operates the Navajo Chief open pit in the Binduli mining centre, 12km SW of Kalgoorlie – Boulder. Three small open pits were mined on the Navajo Chief orebody in 1999/2000. Paddington acquired the tenements in 2008. Extensive RC and diamond drilling programs, coupled with an increased gold price, significantly upgraded the resource.

Mining recommenced in March 2010 to mine in excess of 5Mt of ore, producing 270,000oz of gold over a three year mine life. Ore will be hauled 40km north to the Paddington mill in road trains.
