REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
Attendance
Only pre-registered, pre-paid registrants will be guaranteed access to the event. Upon receipt of your registration and payment, The AusIMM will send registration confirmation.
Registering On-Site
On-site registrants, with payment only, will be admitted on space availability.
Member Rates
To qualify for the special rates of “Member” as quoted on the registration booking form you must be a financial (paid) member of The AusIMM, CIM, SME or SAIMM. Non-Member registration fees apply to all non-members.
Method of Payment
Payment must accompany all registrations. We accept the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Diners. We accept money orders, company and personal cheques. Purchase orders will be accepted, however copies of the purchase order must be supplied with the registration, purchase order number quoted on the registration form and payment received in full prior to the Symposium start date.
What’s Included
We welcome all overseas delegates, members, non-members, authors, new professionals and students to register by completing the registration form and returning it with their remittance to Event Management.
- Author / Delegate / International Delegates / Non- Members / New Professionals Registration includes: attendance at technical sessions, Soft Cover Symposium Proceedings, morning and afternoon teas, lunches, Welcome Drinks and Symposium Dinner.
- Student Registration includes: attendance at the technical sessions, Soft Cover Symposium Proceedings, morning and afternoon teas, lunches, Welcome Drinks and Symposium Dinner.
A Student must be currently enrolled full-time at a tertiary institution. Proof of full-time status must be submitted with the registration form.
Delegate List
Please note that all registered delegates will have their name, address and email addresses printed in a Delegate List. Should you not wish to have your details distributed please notify Event Management as soon as possible.
Confirmation of Bookings
Symposium registrations will be acknowledged as they are received with payment in full. Receipts for registration payments will be forwarded separately to the confirmation letter. Please check the confirmation letter and advise of any alterations immediately.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations of Registration must be by letter, facsimile or email only. Refunds will apply as follows:
- More than 28 days before the Congress – Full Refund
- 28 – 7 days before the Congress – Refund (less A$200 administration charge)
- 7 days or less before the Congress or non attendance – No Refund (no exceptions)
An organisation may send an alternative delegate if registration has been paid and the registered person is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the Event Management must be advised of the change prior to the Congress.
Waiver of Liability
The AusIMM accept no liability to any persons or body for any loss, injury or damage howsoever and whether directly from any action or cause whatsoever undertaken, organised or sponsored by The AusIMM, CIM, McGill University, SAIMM and SME.
Symposium Proceedings
All delegates will receive a soft cover copy of the symposium proceedings containing full papers. Additional soft cover and CD-ROM versions of the symposium proceedings may be purchased via the registration form or at the registration desk during the conference.
Name Tags
Each delegate at the Symposium will be issued with a name tag upon registration. Your name tag is the official pass to all sessions and must be worn at all times. Lost name tags can be replaced at the registration desk.
Dress Code
Dress code for the Symposium is smart casual.
Special Dietary Requirements
If you have special dietary requirements please indicate your needs on the registration form.
AusIMM Membership
Application forms will be available at registration or are available upon request from Event Management.
Enhancing Professional Excellence
Participation in this symposium may be a valid activity towards relevant continuing professional development and education with up to 21 contact hours.
