Attendance
Only pre-registered, pre-paid registrants will be guaranteed access to the event. Upon receipt of your registration and payment, The AusIMM will send registration confirmation.
Registering On-Site
On-site registrants, with payment only, will be admitted subject to space availability.
Ausimm Member Rates
To qualify for the special rates of ‘AusIMM Member’ as quoted on the registration booking form you must be a financial (paid) member.
AusIMM 2008 Membership Fees were due by 1st January 2008.
Non-member registration fees apply to all non-members and non-financial AusIMM members.
Method of Payment
Payment must accompany all registrations.
We accept the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Diners. We accept money orders, bank drafts, company and personal cheques.
Purchase orders will be accepted, however copies of the purchase order must be supplied with the registration, purchase order number quoted on the registration form and payment received in full prior to the conference start date.
What’s Included
We welcome all overseas delegates, members, non-members, authors, new professionals and students to register by completing the registration form and returning it with their remittance to Event Management.
- Author / AusIMM Member / International Delegates / Non-Members / New Professionals Registration includes: attendance at technical sessions, CD-ROM conference proceedings, morning and afternoon teas, lunches and conference dinner.
- Student Registration includes: attendance at the technical sessions, CD-ROM conference proceedings, morning and afternoon teas and lunches. Conference dinner is an additional cost.
A Student must be currently enrolled full-time at a tertiary institution. Proof of full-time status must be submitted with the registration form.
Delegate List
Please note that all registered delegates will have their name, position and email address printed in a Delegate List. Should you not wish to have your details distributed please notify Event Management via the Registration Form.
Confirmation of Bookings
Conference registrations will be acknowledged as they are received with payment in full. Receipts for registration payments will be forwarded separately to the confirmation letter. Please check the confirmation letter and advise of any alterations immediately.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations of Registration must be by letter, facsimile or email only.
Refunds will apply as follows:
- More than 28 days before the Conference – Full Refund
- 28 – 7 days before the Conference – Refund (less A$200 administration charge)
- 7 days or less before the Conference or non attendance – No Refund (no exceptions)
An organisation may send an alternative delegate if registration has been paid and the registered person is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the Event Management must be advised of the change prior to the conference.
GST and International Delegates
All International Delegates are required to pay for services including GST when visiting Australia.
If the service will be performed in Australia (i.e. attending a conference) and the delegate will be in Australia to receive the service, GST is applicable and unavoidable as our organisation is legally obligated to charge GST.
For items such as publications, CD's etc that have been bought in Australia and are GST applicable, the GST portion can be claimed back by the delegate/traveller when going through customs at the international airport. Waiver Of Liability
The AusIMM accepts no liability to any persons or body for any loss, injury or damage howsoever and whether directly from any action or cause whatsoever undertaken, organized or sponsored by The AusIMM.
Conference Proceedings
A copy of the Proceedings on CD-ROM is included in the Registration Fee. Additional copies may be purchased at the conference for A$44 each.
Name Tags
Each delegate at the conference will be issued with a name tag upon registration. Your name tag is the official pass to all sessions and must be worn at all times. Lost tags can be replaced at the registration desk.
Dress Code
Dress code for the conference is smart casual.
Special Dietary Requirements
If you have special dietary requirements please indicate your needs on the registration form.
Ausimm Membership
Application forms will be available at registration or are available upon request from Event Management.
Enhancing Professional Excellence
Participation in this Conference may be a valid activity towards relevant continuing professional development and education with contact hours up to 14 hours.
