The main professional grade of the AusIMM is Member grade. Members are professionals with a tertiary qualification and a minimum of three years’ experience.

Qualification and experience
A copy of your CV and confirmation of your degrees, diplomas, etc. should be included with this application form. The only exception is in the case of reinstatement or grade transfer where required information has previously been approved. (If your degree is in a language other than English please submit a copy in English).
The following forms of confirmation are acceptable:
- Photocopy of the degree, diploma, etc. certified by at least one sponsor as a true copy
- Formal statement from the tertiary institution specifying the degree, diploma, etc. granted.
This proposal for admission to the grade of Member must be sponsored by 3 Corporate Members of The AusIMM (i.e. Honorary Fellow, Fellow or Member).

Payment of Application fee
A $55 ($50 for Non Australian residence) is required to submit your application; this is a standard Application fee that is required on all new applications and reinstatements over 3 years old. Go to the subscription fees page to calculate your fees.
An application under By-Law 10b allows for applicants without a tertiary degree to apply for the grade of Member provided that the applicant has over 10 years' experience in the industry. If you wish to apply for By-Law 10b please email email@example.com ,

All applications received for admission or reinstatement that are terminated or expired prior to election to membership will incur a A$55.00 (includes GST) administration fee prior to refund.
