Associate membership is available to individuals working in the minerals and associated industries who do not have the formal academic qualifications to apply for Graduate or Member grade.
An Associate must have a minimum of two years of relevant industry experience.

Qualification and experience
A copy of your current CV should be included with this application form. Your CV should provide proof that you meet the requirements of admission to this grade, as stated in By-Law 12.
This proposal for admission to the grade of Associate must be sponsored by 3 Corporate Members of The AusIMM (i.e. Honorary Fellow, Fellow or Member).

Payment of Application fee
A $55 ($50 for Non Australian residence) is required to submit your application; this is a standard Application fee that is required on all new applications and reinstatements over 3 years old. Go to the subscription fees page to calculate your fees.
All applications received for admission or reinstatement that are terminated or expired prior to election to membership will incur a A$55.00 (includes GST) administration fee prior to refund.
