Brief CV

Alex's mining career spans over 25 years (Australia & PNG) in many commodities (gold, copper, lead, zinc, silver, tin, nickel, iron ore & coal). The first 15 years was in on-site operational mine management. Alex was in the first wave of female mining engineers/ mine managers to work underground in WA, QLD TAS & PNG. Then followed over a decade of consulting and regulatory roles, Alex was the first female WA District Inspector of Mines.

Alex is a regular industry speaker and published author, mainly on geotechnical risk and seed finance. Alex has a focus on strategy-risk frameworks, audit and risk, financial modelling/valuations, data analytics, ore reserve JORC compliance/QA checks and with finance related IER's (feasibility studies/due diligence). Alex's other not-for-profit duties include: Executive Director and Treasurer ESWA, AusIMM Consultants Society Committee and AusIMM Perth Branch Committee. She was previously a Director of Advocare and a committee member of AusIMM WIMNet. Alex is a trained active mentor for WIMWA, Curtin University and UWA.
