What is Chartered Professional Accreditation?
A clear focus of The AusIMM is to enhance the professional
excellence of its members. The AusIMM encourages and facilitates continuing
professional development and education and The AusIMM Chartered Professional
(CP) Accreditation program provides formal recognition of members who actively
engage in Continuing Professional Development and Education (CPDE).
Chartered Professional members are subject to a peer review
through evidence of self-regulation (maintenance of a
CPD Logbook) in order to maintain their listing on the Register of Chartered
Professionals.

What are the benefits of becoming a CP?

The Board of Chartered Professionals has implemented an
individualised Chartered Professional Seal which is available in electronic
format or as a rubber stamp.

invoiced with delivery.

How do I maintain my CP Status?
All Chartered Professional members are required to maintain
a log-book of Continuing Professional Development and Education (CPDE)
activities for each calendar year.
As outlined in the Chartered Professional By-Laws, members
are required to complete a minimum average of 50 hours of CPD per year
calculated on a 3 year rolling period.
Logbooks must be submitted in electronic format via email
only.
The CP Audit Process
All Chartered Professional members are subject to an audit
of their Continuing Professional Development and Education (CPDE) activities for
the preceding three (3) years to that in which the audit takes place.
The sample selection process is both random and automated,
thus ensuring the fairest and most representative audit sample possible.
Once audited, members are not eligible for audit again for the next three
years.
Chartered Professional members who fail to submit a logbook
upon the call for audit will have accreditation suspended and subsequent
non-submission may result in removal from the Register of Chartered
Professionals.
The CP audit process is explained in more detail in
Guideline 10 of the By-Laws of Chartered Professionals.
